Services to home and property buyers range from a walk through of the property with the potential buyer for an hour or two to a formal investigation and report which typically requires a few days to accomplish. The walk through is  used as a screening process to identify potential issues of concern. These are particularly popular because they often turn into mini-field trips of the local area, highlighting a variety of local geo-political and socio-economic issues. Bring your mud shoes and be prepared for just about anything.  These smaller jobs take up to a few hours of field and research time followed with a letter/report summarizing the findings for the client.
